March / April
Spring Break is a fun time to visit the gulf coast. Anglers from all over come to the panhandle to enjoy our fishery.
Thousands of sheepshead invade our pass, along with lots of redfish. Some days we are bundled up for the cold fronts and other days it's in the upper 70's.
But make no mistake, the fishing in March and April is usually red hot !
May / Sept
May through September is a great time for big trout, slot redfish, bluefish and many other species.
When the Red Snapper season opens I do venture out in the gulf when it's calm.
Most of the time I'm on the flats chasing trout and redfish.
Oct / Jan
Fall is a great time to visit the gulf coast. With our cool temps and great fishing, there is no better time to visit. October is great for Flounder. November and December are the months for monster redfish.
January and February are two great months for trout in the upper bay areas. If you're looking to get away from the cold winter months up north, come visit me where it's warm and you'll be sweating from fighting big reds.
