WHATS HOT AND WHATS NOT
Spring is here.... but what a cool breeze it has been. By that I mean its been fairly cool and brisk. Usually by this time our water temps are in the upper to mid 70s and as of lately its been between 67-71 degrees. So what does this mean? and how does it effect the fish?
Speckled Trout are Notorious for being a schooling fish where when you find 1 and you can almost count on catching enough to fill a limit fairly quickly. During this time of year the specks are spawning and schooled up in full force. But because of the cooler temps the fish have positioned themselves in areas where most aren't looking. This means less fishing pressure on Huge schools of fish. Catching 20-60 specks has been the trend lately and bringing home limits hasn't been a problem.
If you're into Red Fish I also have great news!!! Sight fishing Red Fish in Gin Clear is Awesome!!!! The sight fishing game is on, but we can also target them by simply blind casting towards the shoreline over grass flats and docks.
even though the weather isn't as hot as it usually is the fishing has been exceptional. Don't hesitate to book a trip today and get on a trip of a lifetime!
Tight Lines... Capt. Josh
Welcome to my website
Hi, I"m Capt. Joshua Lim I've been fishing since I could walk, growing up in a family who loved to fish you can say I was born to do this or better yet destined to. I honestly believe that everyone is born with some type of God given talent or passion and for me it was always easy to see that I loved fishing from day one.
